TOUR OPERATOR OF THE YEAR - 2022

21/10/2022: The Travel & Hospitality Awards is proud to announce that CocoVibes Tours has been awarded in its 2022 North, South & Central Americas Travel Awards programme. While this year has been the toughest the travel industry has ever faced, we endeavour to recognise those who deserve praise and to promote the hard work of tenacious travel businesses. Recipients of Travel & Hospitality awards in 2022 were scrupulously selected based on the aggregation of reviews from multiple third-party sources. Selected by a panel of experts who analyse submission material, review customer feedback and compare the facilities of each entrant. Our winners are those who can demonstrate their uniqueness, quality of services and facilities and exceptional levels of customer care across a number of categories.

PURPOSE

Purpose and play; we love an amazing adventure AND sharing our knowledge and passion about Antigua and the environment. Doing both? That's good vibes. In 2021, we had the pleasure of becoming Green Fins members.

The Green Fins approach – implemented internationally by The Reef-World Foundation and the UN Environment Programme – reduces the negative environmental impacts associated with marine tourism. The initiative protects coral reefs through the only internationally recognised environmental standards for diving and snorkelling and robust assessments to measure compliance.

Green Fins encourages and empowers the diving/snorkeling industry to reduce the pressures on coral reefs by offering practical, low-cost alternatives to harmful practices and providing strategic training, support and resources. By reducing the local pressures tourism puts on coral reefs, it helps make corals healthier and more resilient to other stresses.

Together, we can all make simple changes to
minimize the threats faced by corals and help protect
them for future generations.

MEET THE TEAM TO TAKE YOU THERE

CAPTAIN GEORGE

Owner/Captain

George was born in Antigua and raised in the British Virgin Islands, making him a veteran of island life. A certified mechanic by trade, Captain George has been working on boats, jet skis, and other motor vehicles for the past 20 years. His passion for the ocean and being on the water led him to become Captain of his own boat. Captain George has now been expertly guiding boat tours around Antigua for over 8 years. Having explored Antigua throughout his life, he has scouted his favorite spots and now loves getting to share them with others. Captain George is well-known for his experience, knowledge, and sense of humor - but really, he's just all good vibes.

p.s. He also makes an infamously fantastic Rum Punch, remember to ask for a glug during your charter.

BRITTNEY

Manager

Passionate about travel & tourism, sustainability, and the ocean, this former teacher has been behind the scenes of the biz; building the brand and managing bookings. When she's not working, she's snorkeling Antigua's reefs, hiking, volunteering with local environmental groups such as AB Sea Turtles and Adopt-a-Coastline, and learning with future Captains Kai & Nakoa; Captain George and Brittney's sons.

THE STORY

It was a fateful meeting under a coconut tree - one that blossomed into new love, life, and business. Our logo tells our story - a family of three, anchored to an island surrounded by good vibes and the sea we love so dearly.
